Freediving Club Greece, AIDA Freediving Center

Freediving Club Greece is the brand new creation of AIDA World Record Holder and Instructor Trainer Stavros Kastrinakis!!!

Created after many years of organizing events around the World including the 2011&2013 AIDA World Championships in Kalamata the Freediving Club Greece center opened in 2015 in Kalamata to offer a great location and setup to freedivers from around the World to visit and train.

Located in Kalamata Bay in the south of Greece it is one of the coolest places in the world to learn how to freediving, attend a course or just train and have fun in amazing conditions.

Calm, warm waters with 30m+ visibility and flat seas every day of the season - with Mt. Taygetos (2404m and an amazing climb if you are into that short of thing) overlooking our bay we are sheltered from practically all rough weather and you are guaranteed an amazing time in the water.

Whether you want to join us for a couple of days of an introductory freediving course, or train to become an AIDA Freediving Instructor or you just wish to improve your skills and performance we can help you have an amazing time during your stay!

Freediving Club Greece will welcome you with a team of 6 Instructors and Intern Instructors and help you in the sea and pool - courses and coaching are available every day and can be organized in English, French, Italian, German, Greek and probably a couple of other languages too if we ask the right Instructor!

Our Center operates between May 1st and November 1st and you can get in touch with us at or at +306977808648 (GMT +2:00)

You can also find information on our activities at and you can get a preview of whats happening in our little bay on youtube :

We look forward to freediving with you!
